The following review is for as used with a high quality screen. Pros. This unit has a picture that is beyond my expectations as compared to an 85” QLED. It is bright enough for daytime viewing, but really shines in a light controlled room. Sound quality is also good for its size and works as standalone for general viewing. Note that as viewed from 15-18feet and ceiling mounted, volume must be at 40% plus to be usable. The fans are not loud and have not been noticed after several hours of viewing at 45% or higher volume. Cons. It needs Keystone or lens shift adjustment. This unit must be positioned exactly where you need it or the image will be out of position or shifted. It also needs laser registration adjustment / calibration. My unit also has a slight registration issue which results in some minor blurring at the edges at 150”. As noted, the slightest moment will result in a substantial image shift. Overall if you are looking to have a very large theater experience at home, this will provide it if you are also willing to invest is a high quality screen.
State of the art performance. Vivid colors and motion. Could use additional HDMI ports in future versions & Dolby Vision support. It’s a steal from a spec standpoint to comparable Hisense LG9 equipment (who are OEM into this product anyway)
The quality is a pleasant surprise as it delivers the 4K movie experience with just plug & play set up. The movie experience at home is transformed better when combined with Bomaker's Njord II sound system. Loving the product so far.
Amazing picture. Extremely silent. Yes, this beauty can replace a TV and for a very competitive price.
Only 4 stars because:
- No keystone correction...a bit tricky to calibrate to an already fitted screen
- Android TV 6...very limited and no app store
For the past 2 1/2 yrs, I've been researching and looking at getting a UST projector. First was looking at the 1080p, which quickly shifted when I saw they had 4k coming out. All the major bands were way too pricey and the projection size was only up to 120". That's when I saw the Bomaker 4k Laser TV and was curious because I'm unfamiliar with the name. I did my research and watched a couple of reviews by some of the top Home theater reviewers out there and fell in love. The real surprise was when it was delivered. I was completely blown away by the bright and vibrant colors and picture clarity. The picture quality looks better than my older short-throw projector (View Sonic x10 4k). It looks great in light and dark. Can't wait until I get my ALR screen installed to help take it to the next level. The only issue I've had was with the remote disconnecting but was able to get it working again. Why pay $3000 for a 75"-85" OLED TV, when you can get up to 150" Polaris UST Laser TV for half the price? This is the best choice out there hands down.
